Lavoie, who says he was homeless while working as an educational technician, is calling on the Lewiston City Council to put a moratorium on evictions instead of new homeless shelters. The men are Shriners and working on the fraternal fundraiser to benefit the organization. The Shriners hold two hospital fundraisers a year and two fundraisers for their organization.
