After reading an article in the May 2 ePaper regarding a 2001 law that was passed requiring schools to teach the history, government and culture of the state’s Indigenous people, so far it seems very few schools have complied with the law.

According to the article, Portland schools are working on putting together a plan for teaching those subjects.

I wonder why the rest of the schools in the state haven’t done the same.
