LEWISTON — Police investigated reported gunshots late Wednesday near Maple and Blake streets.

There was no indication anyone had been hit, but early reports were that four or five shots had been fired.

Police remained on the scene late Wednesday night, collecting evidence and speaking with potential witnesses about the gunfire.

No further information was available.
