Did you know Responsible Pet Care has guinea pigs available for adoption? We currently have 4 lovely girls – Claire (pictured), Cookie Dough, Honey, and Peanut Butter Fluff. Guinea pigs are social animals, so we are requiring they be adopted in pairs. Guinea pigs can be some of the most endearing and wonderful pets! They may live as long as 9 years (the average is 5 to 7), so the decision to bring one into your home must be made carefully.

Why add guinea pigs to your life? Guinea pigs are adorable and are fun to watch. They always appreciate food. They make cute noises. Once they trust you and are used to handling, they like to cuddle. They enjoy the company of other guinea pigs. Some of them don’t mind wearing hats! Your cavies (the proper name by which guinea pigs are known) will depend on you for food, water, medical care, and companionship. It’s not difficult, though, and if you are new to the world of guinea pigs, we can help explain the basics. There are many online sources for education as well. If you’d like to meet ‘the girls’, stop in during our
open hours or give us a call at 743-8679.
