The Lewiston Public Library is set to host Magician Phil Smith for a magic show for all ages at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, in Callahan Hall at 200 Lisbon St.
The free comedy magic show will include juggling, storytelling, sleight-of-hand, mind reading and the magical production of a rabbit, according to a news release from the library.
Smith received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and trained with visual comedian/juggler Randy Judkins in mime and juggling. After training with world-renowned magician Jeff McBride, and many other stars, Smith went on to win Best Magician in Maine, several times. Smith has been combining expert sleight-of-hand skills with mime, clowning, juggling, and slapstick humor for many years. It all adds up to fun energetic performances for his audiences.
