
Jeanette Fournier
AUBURN – On the morning of June 3, 2022, Jeanette Fournier, 85, of Oxford left this world after a courageous battle with Dementia, reunited with her beloved family and friends who passed before her.Jeanette was born on Feb. 19, 1937, to Esther and Leroy Hall of Dixfield.The youngest of two daughters Jeanette attended school in Dixfield and graduated in 1956. She loved to play softball and helped her parents around the Farm. She met the love of her life Larry Fournier at Arts Barn at a dance, they married in August of 1956. Together they raised a family of three, residing in Chisholm and Norway. Jeanette was the smiling face at the family-owned Handy Store in South Paris. She was kind, had a wonderful sense of humor and was always there to brighten the lives of others. She also worked at the Paris Hill Country Club, the Oxford Speedway and at Nancy’s furniture in Wickenburg, Ariz.Jeanette loved to bowl and sponsored teams. She was an avid golfer and seven-time club champion at Norway Country Club. She was often seen picking up her friends in her 1956 green Chevrolet. Jeanette also loved to play Bingo and spent many evenings with friends at the local Bingo halls. Jeanette and her family spent their summers in Norway at the lake. She was committed to her family, enjoyed cooking for them and was overjoyed when the grandchildren came to visit. She spent her retired winters in Wickenburg, Arizona.Jeanette was predeceased by her husband Larry; her parents; and sister. She is survived by her three children Kathryn Brigham of Alexandria, N.H., Dennis Fournier of South Paris and Kenneth Fournier of Glendale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. We shall carry your memory in our hearts.A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Paris Hill Country Club, South Paris.A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Saint Rose’s Church, 1 Church St., in Jay with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris.
