Martha E. Watson
LEWISTON – Martha E. Watson passed away July 8, 2022, due to complications from cancer.
Martha “Marty” E. Watson was born on Dec. 9, 1946, in Montpelier, Vermont to Clement Elmer Long and Ellen Louise Herring. Marty lived much of her adult life in Lewiston, Maine with her late husband Kenneth Watson and their three children.
Through the years you could find Marty managing Dexter Shoe, hosting at The Village Inn, working at Great Falls Credit Union or greeting you at the polls in Lewiston on election day. Marty loved buying Christmas stocking stuffers, keeping her backyard birds fed, her garden fully stocked and enjoyed shopping trips with her sister, Florina.
During her retirement, Marty most enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved watching her only granddaughter, Ansley, perform onstage. Her grandsons Ace and Axel compete on the ice and Cash and Salem play in her backyard.
Marty is survived by her children, Brent Watson, Beth Favreau and Ben Watson; their spouses Jamie Watson, Shawn Favreau and Johanne Watson, grandchildren Ansley Watson, Ace Watson, Axel Favreau, Cash Watson and her sister Florina Willette.
She was laid to rest at a private graveside ceremony beside her husband Kenneth Watson who predeceased her by 23 years.
We will forever miss her.
