Do we really need the bully in the pulpit again? Haven’t we heard enough of that gravelly voice spitting out nasty barbs at those who may disagree with his archaic ideas?

Being an adult, Gov. Janet Mills has taken the high road and is refusing to attack her opponents; her accomplishments speak for themselves. There’s no need to tear anyone down to make herself look better; how refreshing.

The angry one has no new ideas; criticizing is his only weapon.

We are all aware of higher prices, but we also have higher wages and better benefits, and out-of-staters are flocking here for peace and quiet. Let’s keep it that way.

Eight years of living at the O.K. Corral was enough for me.
