 
Romeo M. Chenard
LISBON – Romeo M. Chenard, 88, formerly of Lisbon, passed away Aug. 30, 2022 at his home.
He was born July 12, 1934 in Lewiston, the son of Henry and Irma (Dutile) Chenard
Romeo was a U.S. Army veteran. After retiring from the Army, he worked as a carpenter for local building contractors.
He was a member of American Legion and VFW Post #9459. Romeo enjoyed Legion activities and social events; his hobbies included miniature lighthouse building and other small woodworking projects, doing home improvements, and landscaping yards.
He is survived by his wife Cecile (Pomerleau) Chenard; three stepsons, Romeo Cote, Mike Cote and Raymond Cote; a daughter, Tracy Lemay, three sons, Robert, Randy and Travis Chenard; three sisters, Irene Andrews, Rita Rodrique, and Pauline, two brothers, Bertrand and Marcel Chenard; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held 12 to 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8 at The Fortin Group, 70 Horton St., Lewiston where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
