WOODSTOCK — A person was taken to a hospital via LifeFlight helicopter early Thursday night after a single vehicle crash on state Route 232.

Crews from Bethel and Greenwood assisted at the 6 p.m. crash that left one person trapped in the wreckage in the area of 72-74 Route 232. Early reports were that the victim suffered a serious leg injury along with other wounds.

LifeFlight, just returning from a call involving a woman trapped in a crash in Rumford, was called to transport the victim in the Route 232 wreck. By 6:45 p.m., it was reported that the victim had been taken to a hospital, but further details were not immediately available.

The crash occurred on a stretch of Route 232 not far from the intersection with state Route 26.
