Endorsing Edouard Plourde for Androscoggin County commissioner is an easy call for me.

Not only does Ed have a decades-long track record of civic engagement (city council, Rotary, airport, Museum L/A, among others) but he is incumbent in the post (having stepped up after a resignation).

Atop this well-known track record of public service, I can personally attest to Ed Plourde being meticulous, responsible and caring. Ed worked in the financial office during the decades I had to balance various departmental and program budgets. He was always both careful and kind to everyone.

I got to know him better, though, when we served as founding members of a small nonprofit. Over the many years we worked together on that project, Ed was reliable, personable and thorough.

Ed Plourde cares about our well-being as Lewiston residents. I hope people vote to retain him as our county commissioner.
