I agree with Marc Jalbert’s letter (“Frustrated by repetition in local news broadcasts,” Dec. 22) and would add that I watch the 4 a.m. national news and then the local news, which repeats the same news I just watched on the national news word for word.

Isn’t there any local news worth covering, and do we need to hear the weather forecast three times in 20 minutes ?
