LEWISTON — A 21-year-old person was seriously injured Sunday night in a shooting at 266 Pond Road, Lewiston police Lt. Derrick St. Laurent said.

The unnamed person was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in stable condition, the lieutenant said.

The shooting — one of two Sunday — was reported before 11:30 p.m. When police arrived they found a person with a gunshot wound. Further information will be released Tuesday, St. Laurent said.

About 9 p.m. Sunday officers responded to shots fired near 54 Knox St. and found shell casings and other evidence but no arrests were made.
