Otis O. Taylor Sr.

LEWISTON – Mr. Otis O. Taylor Sr., 87, a resident of Montello Manor Nursing Home, Lewiston passed away on Dec. 28, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Otis was born in Orono, on Sept. 6, 1935, the son of John and Charlotte (Whitney) Taylor.

He married Patricia M. Hinkley on May 9, 1959. They were married for 60 years. They lived in Lewiston where they raised their family.

Otis loved spending time with his family more than anything else in this world. He also had a great love for his dogs and all dogs. He enjoyed camping, listening to music, watching wrestling, playing cards, and long car rides. Otis had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia M. (Hinkley) Taylor, daughter, Mary Ella Taylor, parents John and Charlotte Taylor, three brothers, David, Peter, and George and three sisters, Mary Edward, Sarah Littlefield and Virginia Gosselin.

Survivors include four sons, Otis Taylor, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Minot, David Taylor and wife Cherie of Connecticut, Virgil Taylor and companion Cheryl Cloutier of Lewiston, and Maurice Taylor and wife Jennifer of Lewiston. Two daughters, Pamela LaBelle of Lewiston and Cynthia Sanborn and husband Steven of South Portland. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

Private Graveside Memorial Service at Elmwood Cemetery in Pownal and Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring for family and close friends of Otis.
