Laurette R. Audibert

LEWISTON – Laurette R. Audibert, 101, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023 at St. Mary d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

She was born in Canada on Sept. 12, 1921 the daughter of Joseph and Bernadette (Boisvert) Tancrede. She was raised in Canada and moved to Lewiston during her teenage years.

In her younger years, Laurette worked in the Lewiston shoe shops. Laurette enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing puzzles and spending time with her family. She enjoyed the many years she lived at Maison Marcotte and the friends that she made there.

Survivors include one daughter Diane Jutras and husband Sonny of Lewiston, one son Gerry Audibert and wife Lyn of Maine/Florida and one son-in-law, Paul Gosselin of Lewiston. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Toby Jutras (Lisa), Tammy Jutras, Kevin Audibert, Christine Gould, (Michael), Angela Pleau (Michael), twelve great grandchildren, Gregory, Melanie, Nathan, Parker, Soleil, Myra, Lily, Emery, Owen, Dani, Tyler and Addyson and one great great-grandson Samuel and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Alcide Audibert, second husband Aurel Cloutier and her daughter, Stella Gosselin, one brother Roland Tancrede, and two sisters Fernande Blanchette and Cecile Forgues and step brother Arthur Tancrede.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, from 10-11 a.m., with a Memorial service at 11 a.m., at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. Committal will be held following services at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
