LEWISTON – Mary Denis, 95, passed away peacefully Jan. 13, 2023, at

D’Youville with family by her side.

She was Born Nov. 4, 1927 in Jackman to Frank and Armoza Giroux, then on May 30, 1949, said “I do” to Emilien Denis, together raising their five children.

Mary enjoyed a career in retail and her involvement with St. Patrick’s Sodality.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Peterson, James Denis (Tina), Matthew Denis and Valerie Denis-Atkins, as well as many grand and great-grandchildren who lovingly called her Nana.

She was predeceased by her husband, daughter Patsy and(Charlie)Luce and son in law Larry Peterson.

A family celebration of Mary’s life and interment at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery will be held later this summer.
