I’m confused. I don’t understand why the current abortion law in Maine is not sufficient, but needs to be expanded to allow abortion to occur at anytime during pregnancy, with a doctor’s approval, up to and including birth.

Abortion in Maine is currently available on demand anytime without a medical reason until a baby reaches viability, which is at approximately 24 weeks of life.

People should consider viability and what it means.
