Lewiston’s spring 2023 Citywide Litter Pick Up Day is set for Saturday, April 15, and individuals and teams are being sought to participate.

The 8 a.m.-noon event will commence at Kennedy Park, 120 Park St., where public works personnel will provide complimentary bags, gloves, pickers and buckets. Online registration and safety guidelines are available at lewistonmaine.gov, and participants can register individually or as a team member; participation is free.
When registering, options are provided for litter disposal:
• Return litter to Kennedy Park; Public Works collection vehicles will be on site;
• request public works to pick up litter at a specified site noted on registration form;
• call public works dispatch the morning of the event stating a pick up location (207-513-3000, ext. 3450); and
• dispose of litter through a participant’s weekly trash pick-up.
