A new glass case display, “Toys and Teapots from China, Japan, and South Korea,” is being showcased at Norway Memorial Library at 258 Main St.

Sherri Otterson of Norway lived in Okinawa, Japan, for 21 years and South Korea for seven. In that time, she accumulated a large collection of Kokeshi dolls and Chinese, Japanese and Korean teapots.
Kokeshi dolls are simple wooden Japanese dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for more than 150 years as a toy for children, according to a news release from Alana DePerte at the library.
This display can be viewed whenever the library is open through May. May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
