Shawn-Michael John Ashley

LEWISTON – On April 11, 2023, Shawn-Michael John Ashley died unexpectedly at his home in Lewiston.

He was born Shawn-Michael John Ashley on Jan. 28, 1991 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was a joyful child, and wonderful son, brother, and father. He loved his family including extended family he was always protective of his sisters while always trying to make them laugh or do something goofy. He was a hard worker who seemed to enjoy working with his hands and could do many jobs. he was a carpenter and arborist of sorts, and a laborer. He put all his effort into his work or his building projects.

Shawn-Michael really enjoyed having bonfires and being in quiet country with his friends and family. He loved being in the open skies and had dreams once of traveling across America on a Harley Davidson. He dreamed of living on a mountain raising a pot farm and living off the land. He had a lot of different ideas when it came to his life. When he became a father last year is when I saw he was truly happy.

This has been such a tragic loss that words cannot express.

Shawn-Michael was predeceased by his brother, Christopher Ashley; his nana, Sandra Ashley, and his grandfather, Vaughn Ashley.

He leaves behind his parents, Michele and Shawn White of Lewiston; his sisters Danielle Pomeroy and her husband Steve whom he was close with, Emma White of Lewiston, and Jennifer Thuotte of Rochester, N.H.
