This unsettled, showery weather will continue through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The low clouds, rain and drizzle are expected to persist over western Maine with highs topping out at 46 on Tuesday. Low visibility due to fog and drizzle are possible during overnight and morning periods until Thursday. High temperatures are forecast in the low 50s.

Western Maine mountains may have light accumulations of wet snow.

The state is due to dry out and experience high temperatures in the low 60s Friday, according the to NWS. But cooler temperatures are forecast to return over the weekend.  More rain can be expected Sunday and Monday.
