Go anywhere around Lewiston: The chamber breakfast, business opening, L-A Arts, school function … Mayor Carl Sheline will be there.

This is a good thing, because it shows he is in touch with the people of Lewiston — in touch with what they want, and what they are concerned about.

If there is a bill on the docket in Augusta that concerns Lewiston, he is there to speak up in support, or if it is not in our best interest, he is there to speak in opposition.

I especially support his fight against polluting our drinking water. Lake Auburn is a crucial natural resource for Lewiston, Auburn and the surrounding area, so it is well worth fighting for. I know everyone is aware of the concerns surrounding the water source, so I will not repeat it.

I hope people join me in voting for Carl Sheline in November.
