DIXFIELD — Voters passed a $2.7 million municipal budget Tuesday, a 8.93% increase from the 2022-23 fiscal year.

Factors in the increase include wages, costs for materials, fuel, auditing and assessing.

“Most of the wages are up 14 to 15% percent,” Town Manager Alicia conn said. “We’ve been trying to bring our wages up to be more fair. We have 15 employees. We’re trying to keep costs as low and as stable as possible.”

Also on Tuesday, former Selectman Ricky Davis was elected to the board for three years. He was unopposed for the seat of Norm Mitchell who did not seek reelection.
