Brian Alfred Jamison Sr.
MEXICO – Brian Alfred Jamison Sr., 70, of Mexico, died peacefully at his home with his wife at his side on June 26, 2023. He was born Feb. 25, 1953, in Rumford, son of, Guy Harold Jamison Jr. and Kathleen Rosa (Wood) Jamison. He attended local schools, graduating from Mexico High Scholl class of 1970.
Brian married April Marie Briggs on August 25, 1973, in Dixfield, at the Church of the Nazarene. They made their home in Mexico, Maine and he was a successful businessman for many years running his own logging business, ending his career working his firewood business alongside his daughter Tara and his son Daryl up until just before he passed.
Brian served in the United States Army from 1970 – 1973 and is a Vietnam Veteran. He joined the Army at 17 years old under the buddy system with his friend Dwight Murphy. He was proud to serve his country. Brian was a long-time member of the American Legion Unit 24 in Rumford. His family was his greatest joy. Brian enjoyed being in nature, attending his grandchildren’s sports and other events, he loved watching the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox, and Perry Mason reruns and Clint Eastwood westerns.
He is loved by his wife of nearly 50 years, April of Mexico; and their five children, son Brian Jamison Jr. and his wife Carla, daughters Tara Hemingway and husband Craig, Bethany McInnis and partner Les, Samantha Byam and husband Ben, and son Daryl Jamison and partner Jared. He is blessed with 15 grandchildren Dylan, Brett, Briana, and Travis Jamison, Katlyn, Alyssa and Cody Hemingway, Mackenzie and wife Abby McInnis, Jacob, Nicolas, Machaela and Colton McInnis, Jonah, Julien, and Melina Byam; three great grandchildren Amelia, Maxwell, and Gracelynn McInnis. He is survived by siblings Kenneth Jamison and wife Myong, Wayne Jamison and wife Shane, Jeffrey Jamison and wife Donna, Alan Jamison, and Bruce Jamison and wife Beth; and many in laws, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Guy Harold Jamison III, Rodney Jamison Sr, sister Gail Young, sister-in-law Lisa Jamison; granddaughter-in-law Sierra Lynn McInnis; great-granddaughter Eden Grace McInnis.

A celebration of life, celebrating Brian’s life will be held, at the American Legion Hall, on July 1, 2023, at 11 a.m., all are welcome.
