Charlotte Larue
LEWISTON – On June 19, 2023, Charlotte Larue returned to God, with her family at her side. In her 70 years, she loved and was loved greatly. Born in Saint-Gedeon-de-Beauce, Quebec on Nov. 22, 1952, she immigrated with her family in 1957. Her parents were Joseph and Helene Vachon.
She was a hard and tenacious worker. Her work experience includes factory work at GE, waitressing, Behavioral Tech at St. Mary’s Hospital and farm work at Whiting’s. She was feisty, fun and unfiltered. She had a very strong passion for animals, her horses, dogs, cats and chickens and her visiting birds and squirrels. Some called her the “Sharp Shooting Charlotte” in her younger years due to her expertise at pool. She recently became addicted to diamond art thanks to her great friends at the Meadows In Greene.
Charlotte leaves behind her daughter Jessica Smith and her husband Randy; grandchildren, Cierra (Baby Doll), Shannon, Amelia and Madisyn Smith; sister Gisele Gagnon and husband Bert, brothers Albani and Rene Vachon; 13 nieces and nephews; and a special friend Bruce Parker who made her feel loved during her last year.
Charlotte was predeceased by two sisters, Jeanine Newcomb and Cecile Bartley and three brothers, Jules, Michael, and Laurent Vachon; as well as three nephews Bobby, Danny and Joey Vachon.
A big thank you to the staff at Androscoggin Hos
