LEWISTON — A moped driver was injured Wednesday morning in a collision at the intersection of College and Sabattus streets, police Lt. Derrick St. Laurent said.

Gregory Pontoo, 38, of Lewiston was driving his 50cc moped just before 10:50 a.m. when it and a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Kalao Kilongozi-Huenga, 34, of Portland, collided, the lieutenant said.

Pontoo was transported to Central Maine Medical Center with lower body injuries that were not considered life threatening, St. Laurent said.

Police were awaiting video evidence to determine who was at fault, he said.
