Richard Raymond Guimond

SABATTUS – Richard Raymond Guimond, 66, of Sabattus, passed away peacefully at his home on July 30, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Richard was a hard worker for Bath Iron Works for over 45 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially loved going camping with them. Richard also enjoyed trips to the casino, a good game of cornhole and thoroughly enjoyed pushing his grandkids in the stroller at the campground. He was a very generous man that would do anything for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by many.

Richard was predeceased by his father Joseph Guimond. 

Richard is survived by his wife Ruby. His beautiful daughters Maria Guimond and Evan Pulkinen, Heather and her husband Henry Norgren IV, Nicole and her husband Ricky Chamness, Ashley and her husband Zachary Chouinard, and his stepdaughter Jessica Morin and Adam Guildford. 

He is also survived by his mother Rolande (Ayotte) Guimond, his sister Joanne and Marcel Boisvert, Kathy and her husband Gary Bowden, Barbara and her husband Mike Osmond, Jeannine and her husband Edward Daley, Jacqueline and her husband Mark Keith, Patty Guimond and Wendall Jipson, and his brother Patrick Guimond and Kathy Savage.

He also leaves behind his beautiful Grandchildren Jasmine Frost, Mikayla Tabor, Deanna Tabor, Malachi Tabor, Kendra Thompson, Henry Norgren V, Abigail Guilmette, Tysen Chamness, Lexy Chamness, Colton Chouinard, Colby Chouinard, Charlotte, Chouinard, Kaleb Morin, Kylie Morin, Gavin Guildford and his beautiful Granddaughter Madelyn Morin. He also has many nieces and nephew.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5, from 10 a.m., to 12 p.m., at The Fortin Group Funeral Home in Auburn, followed by an in house funeral service at 12 p.m. Committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery will follow. 

A Celebration of Life will take place following committal prayers. A location will be announced at the cemetery.
