LEWISTON — A report of shots fired shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday drew police to the the area of Lionel Potvin Park, between River and Cedar streets.

Lewiston Police Lt. Derrick St. Laurent said officers responded quickly, are searching the area and checking local hospitals for potential victims.

“This just happened, so there isn’t a whole lot of information right now,” said St. Laurent.
