OXFORD — At around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sep. 12, an older model Chevy Suburban with Montana plates, veered off Cold Water Brook Road, through a utility pole and into a residence at 143 Cold Water Brook Road.

The driver, according to Oxford Police Officer Andre Chasse, is believed to have suffered a medical event causing him to lose control of his vehicle. He was transported by Oxford Rescue to the hospital.

The owner of the residence was at home but uninjured. The vehicle ended up in the bedroom of the home which has been condemned, said Chasse, as unsafe. The Red Cross is assisting the family he said.
