Aline Bryant

FARMINGTON – Aline Bryant of Jay, Maine, passed away on Sept. 12, 2023. She was born July 25, 1935, in Jay, the seventh child of Amedee G. Maurais and Leonie (St. Pierre) Maurais.

She attended St. Rose of Lima parochial school in Jay and Academy of St. Joseph in South Berwick. On Sept. 6, 1958, she married Raymond E. Bryant at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Her devout faith was made evident by a lifetime of service to God and neighbor. For over 30 years she was the organist at St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Riley and for over 20 years she was active with the Tri-Town Ministerial food cupboard. She gave of herself to the young and old in various ways throughout her life wherever and whenever she heard God’s call.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Raymond; sons Peter and wife Holly of Fort Washington, Pa., Joseph and wife Veronica of Laurel, Md., John and wife Patricia of Hardwick, N.J., and Christopher and wife Kathy of Monmouth; sister, Rachel (Marvin) Ellis of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers Gerard, Jean Paul, Henri, Amedee, and Bernard, and sisters Germaine Swenson, Adrienne Kelly, and Marcelle Kendall.

The family would like to thank the staff at Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice and Sandy River Nursing Home for all they did for Aline.

Messages of condolence may be sent to: http://www.finleyfuneralhome.com. Visiting hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday Sept. 15 at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 16 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church St., Jay. Interment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St., Livermore Falls.
