PARIS — Attention gardeners, farmers, and anyone else interested in improving the health of your land; the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District will be offering an “Improving Your Soil Health” workshop on Wednesday, October 18 from 3-4:30 p.m. Join Robin Dunn, soil and compost enthusiast, and Michele Windsor, OCSWCD Program Manager, to learn about soil health!

Topics covered will include:

•  Why soil health matters

•  The components of healthy soils

•  Tools like compost, worm bins, mycelium, and biochar

•  Supporting healthy & lively soils in your backyard & garden

•  Getting a closer look at soil microbes through a microscope

Participants will leave with ideas for tangible steps they can take at home to improve the health of their soils, gardens, and local ecosystem! The program fee is $20. Any payments can be made to us on the day of the event – we accept cash or check. The event is limited to 25 participants and the registration deadline is Tuesday, October 17.
