As we approach the mayoral election on Nov. 7, I have been reflecting on the positive changes that I have seen in Lewiston under Carl Sheline’s leadership as mayor.

Carl has his finger on the pulse of Lewiston, particularly the business community. If residents spend time walking around Lewiston I guarantee they’ll find Carl checking in with small businesses to make sure they’re heard in City Hall and getting what they need from the city.

This kind of leadership and visible presence in our communities matters. It’s what helps attract new businesses and helps our existing businesses stay afloat in challenging times.

If supporting small businesses in Lewiston is important to residents, then Carl is their candidate and I hope he’ll get their vote.

I know he’s earned mine.
