As a resident of Auburn for most of 65 years, I support Dana Staples in his bid to continue as a City Council member at-large.

It can be very difficult to find someone who does not have their own political agenda, but actually is serving the public by listening to them and taking their thoughts and ideas into account. While serving on the City Council for the past two years, Dana has gone above and beyond to ensure he is hearing everyone’s voice.

Dana has spent many evenings making himself available to the public while sitting in parks and other public spaces, so people can come by and discuss their thoughts and opinions. Not only does he listen, but he remembers what people say and uses that in helping make important decisions.

I am proud to support Dana, and I hope residents join me by voting for him on Nov. 7.
