I am a lifelong resident of the Lewiston-Auburn area.

I have known Matthew D. Agren for more than 25 years. He is a conscientious worker, a thoughtful man, a capable and innovative thinker and a self-educated student of history. I believe he would do well on the School Committee.

I have watched him mentor older teens and young adults in real-life skills, helping them develop their sense of responsibility, their budgets and work ethics. He seems to enjoy the challenge.

Although he has limited political experience, he does have recent experience on the Lewiston Appeals Board. He has raised funds for several good causes, sponsored Little Free Library boxes and been active with the Adoptive and Foster Families of Maine.

He has the support of current and former educators within his family and the wider community.

For these and other reasons I think he’d be a good fit for the position.
