MECHANIC FALLS – Stacy D. Ballard, 84, of Mechanic Falls, passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born in East Conway, N.H. on Aug. 28, 1939, the son of Harlan Dean and Marjorie Stacy Ballard. He married Sandra Plummer on Jan. 2, 1971. Stacy was a 20 Year U.S. Army Veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam.

His favorite job after retiring from the Army was being a ski instructor. He did this at several different ski resorts. He also worked many years at On Target and Lowes.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children Michelle, Michael (Jen), Melissa (Jim), Mark (Tammy), Rosalie (Roger), and Terri (Phillip); 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and his sister, Sherry Gerrish.

He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Ronda Ballard, and son-in-law, Gary Gravel; his parents Harlan and Marjorie (Stacy) Ballard; his in-laws James and Dorothy Plummer; brothers-in-law Preston Plummer and Randall Plummer.

There will not be any services for Stacy at his request.
