BETHEL — Telstar Middle School crushed Boothbay 38-6 in a playoff game played on home turf.

The eight-man team went into the second half tied 6-6, but the Rebels found their groove, marching to victory as the sun went down on Boothbay.

They have now advanced to the championship game.

They will play Dirigo at 1 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 4 at Telstar.

Last year the team had one win and four losses.

This year they reversed their record with four wins and one loss, finishing in second place for the season, overall.

Head coach Leroy Varnum with Assistants Lisa Campbell and Shannon Sumner directed the 7th and 8th graders from the sidelines. High school Student Assistants are: Hunter Koskela, Michael Cummings and Kimball Coolidge
