Malcolm A. Priest

AUGUSTA – Malcolm A. Priest, 91, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, surrounded by family at the Maine Veterans Home Augusta. Malcolm was born July 6, 1932 in Guilford, Maine to the late Arthur Priest and Margurite Brandon Priest. He was one of eight children and attended West Peru School.

Malcolm married Barbara Mae Vaughn March 25, 1952, and had four children. Malcolm served in the Army as a Paratrooper and received the Purple Heart for being wounded in the Korean War.

He was a truck driver all his life in one way or another and loved it. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing bingo, hunting, fishing and working in his shop.

Malcolm leaves behind his wife Barbara; his children Michael and his wife Judy, Barry his wife Jackie, Wendy her husband Keith and Penny and her husband John; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and sisters Charlene Swan and Gloria Tyler.

A funeral service will be held Dec. 2 at noon at Gracelawn Memorial Park 980 Turner Street in Auburn.
