Marie Dufresne-Dixon, daughter of Carmen Dufresne and Michael S. Dixon of Auburn, and Jake Sicotte, son of Kate and Don Sicotte, were married at 3 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2023 at the Whitney Farm Estate in Oxford. The ceremony was officiated by Thomas Frail, the bride’s brother-in-law. A reception followed the ceremony.
Renee Frail, sister of the bride, served as honor attendant, with the assistance of bridesmaids Emily Achey, Danielle Eaton, Brooke Morin, Kristina Jamo, and Jennifer Rioux. Brian Mathieu was the best man, and was assisted by ushers Jordan Couture, Reece Teixeira, Joe Fournier, John Hertzer, Wayne Garcia, and Eric Alexopoulos. The wedding party also included flower girl Amelia Eaton, and ring bearer Wyatt Eaton.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono. She was awarded a masters degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine in 2018, and works as a nurse practitioner in the Augusta area.
The bridegroom is a 2011 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono. He was awarded a doctor of veterinary medicine degree by the University of Florida in Gainesville and practices in Lewiston.
The couple resides in Hallowell.
