
Georgette J. Ayotte
AUBURN – Georgette J. Ayotte, 86, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at The Hospice House in Auburn on Jan. 27, 2024.
Georgette was born in Lewiston on Oct. 15, 1937 to the late Armand Roy and Minerva (Arsenault) Roy.
On May 26, 1956 she married John A. Ayotte and started their family in Lewiston. They were married 59 years before the passing of John on Nov. 30, 2015.
Georgette worked at Geiger Brothers in Lewiston when her children were young and then started her own restaurant business, Tibies Lunch, when they were older. After her retirement from her own restaurant, she finished her career as a waitress at Edwards Restaurant in Lewiston.
Although being very successful in her working life, the true love she had was for her grandchildren, Tony, Jon, Samantha, and Jordan. She would spend countless hours with them throughout her years.
Georgette is survived by her son, Timothy Ayotte and wife Brenda, daughter, Nancy Girouard and her partner Kimberly Beaudin. Her grandchildren, Jon Ayotte and his wife Allison, Samantha Ayotte, Jordan Girouard, Sadie Rouillard and her husband Steven, and Eliza Beaudin; her great-grandchildren, Willow, Easton, Aubree, Preston, and Rory.
Georgette was predeceased by her parents, Armand and Minerva Roy; her husband John Ayotte; and her grandson, Anthony Ayotte.
The family invites you to a time of visitation on Feb. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., immediately followed by a Liturgy of the Word at 1 p.m. at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Lewiston, 70 Horton St., Lewiston and a Committal Service at St. Peters Cemetery, Deer Road, Lewiston.
