Community members enjoy a lively contra dance to celebrate Norway’s rich history.

NORWAY — Get ready for an evening filled with food, dance, and community spirit. The Alan Day Community Garden, Fare Share Food Coop, and Western Foothills Land Trust are thrilled to invite you to a special Community Dinner and Contra Dance event.

Scheduled for Friday, Feb. 16, 4-8 p.m., this gathering is not just a celebration, but a tribute to the late Mellie Dunham, a cherished native Norway fiddle player and snowshoe maker. Taking place at the Norway Grange located at 15 Whitman Street, the event occurs on the eve of the 14th Annual Snowshoe Festival held at Roberts Farm Preserve.

The evening will kick off with a delightful community supper from 4-6 p.m., offering a chance to mingle, enjoy delicious local fare, and celebrate our unique community partnerships. As the plates are cleared, the party will move upstairs for a lively Contra Dance from 6-8 p.m. The event will be elevated by the talented calling of Bill Olsen and Pamela Weeks, ensuring a night of fun and traditional dancing.

Tickets are limited to 100, so make sure to secure your spot quickly. They can be purchased online at https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/kfHIRejHS041HP7__oXYHQ?t=1706202870 or directly at the Fare Share register.
