WEST PARIS — We are experiencing glimmers of spring. March is like that. Let’s also experience the joys of community and the time spent together in peace and thoughtful contemplation. Join us on Sundays at 9 a.m. All are welcome. Refreshments following the services.

March 3, led by guest speaker, Bob Neal. His topic is ‘Two roads diverged . . .’ And, as Bob has suggested, this will get you thinking… Many may know of Bob through his weekly column, ‘The Countryman,’ in the Sun Journal.

March 10, led by guest speaker The Rev. William (Scott) Campbell. His topic is ‘Not To Condemn,’ which is based on John 3:14-21. Here is an excerpt: ‘The secret to loving God is to look at ourselves and others through the eyes of God. When we can see without condemnation, when we let go of shame and guilt, when all that is in us is a desire to redeem, we open the channels between ourselves and God. When we accept ourselves in our full humanity, we are able to live with an authenticity that connects us to the divine.’

March 17, led by The Rev. Linda Couture. The topic is TBD. Rev. Couture is a licensed pastor in the United Church of Christ, Maine Conference. She is the pastor at the West Paris Mission Congregational Church UCC. Linda is a creative person and loves to be outside in nature as much as possible. She offers creative workshops that combine creativity and connection to the Spirit within us!

March 24, led by Death Doulas, Janet Willie, and Lee Berry. Their topic is ‘Ending on a good note – an option for Death & Dying.’ Through words and music, Janet and Lee will guide us through a subject many of us are unfamiliar with or uncomfortable with, and yet we will all one day encounter.

March 31, guest speaker, Lise Schickel Goddard will present her pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago in Spain and Portugal this past fall. This 600-mile walk was spiritual and deeply inspiring.

‘Blessed are you, Pilgrim, if you discover that the road opens your eyes to the unseen.’ A special way to celebrate this Easter Sunday. Lise will describe her experience with a slide presentation. Church members will lead the service and music will be provided by Elaine Emery.
