CHESTERVILLE — There are no contested races this year in municipal elections.

Elections will be held 1-7 p.m. March 15 at the Dave Archer/Chesterville Town Hall, 409 Dutch Gap Road.

Linda Bauer is not seeking reelection for the three-year seat she holds on the Select Board, nor is Anne Lambert for a one-year term, Town Clerk Melissa “Missy” Letarte said in February. Tim LeSiege resigned from his seat as of March, the one year remaining on his term will also need to be filled, she noted.

Earl Martin Jr. is running for Bauer’s position and Jason Ward for Lambert’s seat, Letarte said. Maitland Lord and Justin Richards took out nomination papers for LeSiege’s seat, she said.

“Maitland Lord decided not to seek election,” Letarte said Tuesday, March 5. “He put it on Facebook he doesn’t want people to vote for him.”

The annual town meeting will be held 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the town hall.
