BETHEL — Shane Howley of Main-Land Development Consultants, Inc. toured Bethel Planning Board members on the site of the future Community Concepts Day Care on Route 2 on March 27.

At a Bethel Planning Board meeting on March 19, Community Concepts Director of Property Management John Fitzmorris said there would be no infant classroom. Communications Manager David Singer wrote with a clarification. He said Community Concepts will serve children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and they are actively hiring teachers for these positions.

Singer detailed the funding they would be using to pay for the project. The carry-over federal funding money is $636,000; the federal funding submission is $563,000; $200,000 of state grant funding has been submitted, but not as yet, awarded. Lastly, “Sunday River as an organization is helping to fund the project as part of a local grassroots fund drive,” said Singer.
