Roger M. Cote

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Roger M. Cote passed away Saturday April 27, 2024, after a short illness. He was surrounded by family and his courageous daughter, Teressa Kerr, who cared for him as well as his son Quintyn.

Born in Lewiston, the son of Normand and Rita (Dionne) Cote, who predeceased him. He was a St. Dominic’s graduate of the class of 1974. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1974 until 1993. After he was discharged from the Navy, he worked as a machinist at Silgan Industries of Evansville, Ind., where he settled. Roger loved his motorcycle and lived to ride. He was also an avid poker enthusiast.

Roger loved his family and was loved by them. His grandchildren dearly loved their “Pepere”.

He is survived by his much loved daughter Teressa and her husband Drew of Indiana, his sons Quintyn, of Indiana, and Joseph and Christopher of Charleston, S.C.; his granddaughter, Sky Rose of Indiana and spouse Takia, his grandchildren Koaldon of Indiana, Jocelyn, Arlee and Mila, also from Indiana. He is also survived by a sister, Rachel.

Roger will always be loved and dearly missed by all who knew him. He was an unselfish man who will be remembered for his wry sense of humor. To the man who was our father “Pops”, brother, uncle and “Pepper” (as he was known to his youngest granddaughter, Mila), the memory of you will live on with us and keep you close to our hearts.

You are invited to a time of visitation on Friday May 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m., at Pinette, Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, ME 04240.
