The First Universalist Church of Auburn is set to host New to UU, an informational session about the church, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the church located at 169 Pleasant St.
Rev. Patrick McLaughlin and the Membership Committee will introduce newcomers to the ministries of the church, and to the Unitarian Universalist faith.
Lifelong member Esther Tucker will give a brief talk about the history of the church. Board President Anne Perron will lead a tour of the iconic building, with its carpenter gothic sanctuary, Hook & Hastings organ and recently restored Rose Window. A light luncheon will be served.
Attendance is not a commitment to join Auburn UU, but it is a requirement for those who wish to sign the membership book. F
