DEAR SUN SPOTS: The University of Southern Maine Occupational Therapy Department is offering a free Car-Fit program Friday at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn Campus, 51 Westminster St. in Lewiston. Appointments will be scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1.p.m.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary is seeking items for its annual yard sale Saturday.
Donations such as furniture, household items, tools, books and puzzles are always in demand. It’s a great time to clean out your garages, attics, etc. and help support our worthy cause to raise money for much needed hospital equipment.
Members of the Auxiliary will be at 209 Lincoln Ave. in Rumford to accept donations the morning of May 17. We are unable to accept large appliances or clothing. For more information please call 364-3648. — No name, no town

DEAR SUN SPOTS: There will be a baked bean supper from 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Sixth St. Congregational Church at 109 Sixth St. in Auburn.
The menu includes two kinds of beans, brown bread, cole slaw, red and brown hot dogs, assorted casseroles, assorted desserts, and beverages. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12, and free for under age 5. All are welcome. Take-out is available. — Elizabeth, Auburn
