ROCKPORT — Kyeria Morse pitched a one-hit shutout to help lift Oxford Hills past Camden Hills 3-0 in a KVAC Class A North softball game Tuesday.

Morse struck out 14 and walked two. She also capped the scoring for the Vikings (14-2) with a sacrifice bunt in the top of the third. Maddie Miller and Tristen Derenburger each drove in a run in the second, on a groundout and a single, respectively.

Maya Stone had the lone hit for the Windjammers (10-6).

BUCKFIELD 13, VINALHAVEN 0: Sophie St. Pierre shut down the Vikings (4-9) and scored enough runs of her own to help power the Bucks (14-1) to a win in Buckfield.

St. Pierre struck out four batters while scattering four hits and one walk in five innings. At the plate, she collected two hits and two runs.

Brittany Carrier and Carmen Crockett each had two hits and three RBIs for Buckfield. Carrier had the game’s lone extra-base hit, with a triple. Addison Stevens-Belanger and Alyssa Breton both drove in two runs.

NOKOMIS 3, LEAVITT 2: The Warriors (14-2) broke a stalemate between two KVAC Class B contenders with the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to edge the Hornets (12-4) in Newport.

Addison Hawthorne hit a home run for Nokomis, which also got a two-hit performance from Mia Coots (double, single) and a double from Jenna Sawtelle. Coots struck out 13 batters in eight innings.

Hailey Cyr struck out 10 batters for Leavitt. Abby Albert hit three singles, including driving in the go-ahead run to give the Hornets a 2-1 lead in the sixth. Nokomis tied it in the bottom of the seventh.

OAK HILL 18, MT. ABRAM 1: Aubrey McElhaney and Izzy Whitaker each doubled and combined to score seven runs in the Raiders’ (9-6) five-inning win over the Roadrunners (5-10) in a game played at Monmouth Middle School in Monmouth.

McElhaney did her job as Oak Hill’s leadoff batter, drawing three walks, driving in two runs and scoring four. Whitaker also drew a walk and crossed home plate three times. Carlee Austin and Ava Rivet each had a hit and two RBIs.

Whitaker pitched three no-hit innings, with two walks and four strikeouts. Austin allowed one run on two hits in an inning of relief.

Katelyn Holt and Vega Rollins had the hits for Mt. Abram, with Rollins driving in Holt.

BASEBALL

LAKE REGION 12, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 8: The Lakers (3-13) scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally past the Patriots (2-24) in Gray.

Shane Plummer and Dylan Blair each drove in three runs for Lake Region, while Jacoby True and Brayden Wilson each added two RBI. Brock Gibbons had two hits, including a double and scored a run.

Brock Gibbons went 2 for 3 to lead the way for Lake Region.

Andrew Keddy had a pair of hits for Gray-New Gloucester, including a two-run home run.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 13, HALL-DALE 3: The Mustangs won for 32nd time in the past 33 games with a convincing victory over the Bulldogs in Farmingdale.

Sammy Calder smacked a double and three singles for Monmouth (14-1) while also claiming the win on the mound. The Mustangs also got a home run from Kyle Palleschi.

Keegan Cary had a single and a double for Hall-Dale (10-5). The Bulldogs had a five-game winning streak snapped with the loss.

MT. ABRAM 10, TELSTAR 0: Logan Dube pitched a two-hitter and the Roadrunners (10-5) ended the game in the bottom of the sixth against the Rebels (4-12) in Salem Township.

Mt. Abram broke the game open in the fifth and sixth innings, plating four runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth. Bryce Wilcox doubled for the Roadrunners.

Connor Deprey and Anthony Conant allowed a combined six hits while pitching for Telstar.

ST. DOMINIC 4, SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Ashton Hammond pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on four hits, while striking out 10 and walking three to lift the Saints (14-1) to a win over the Hawks (12-4) in Hiram.

Keegan Thibodeau had two hits for Sacopee Valley.

LEAVITT 11, NOKOMIS 0: Noah Carpenter pitched a one-hitter and smacked a three-run home run in the Hornets’ (14-2) five-inning win over the Warriors (7-9) in Newport.

Colten Taylor had a three-run homer of his own among his two hits. Will Keach had two hits as well, with a double and a single. Carpenter struck out eight batters.

Connor Sides hit a double for Nokomis.
