UPDATE: John Percival has been found safe, according to authorities.
ANDOVER — The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday night issued a Silver Alert for a missing 80-year-old from Andover said to be suffering from cognitive issues.

Police said John W. Percival left his home on North Main Street about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. He is described as a white man standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing roughly 170 pounds. He is balding and has blue eyes, according to the police bulletin.
“John left on foot from his residence and was wearing a dark green long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, Crocs, and a hat,” according to the alert. “He is partially non-verbal and slow to walk and talk as a result of Alzheimer’s.
