Timothy Gallant

PORTLAND – It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy Gallant announce his passing on May 25, 2024. He died peacefully in the comfort and care at the home of his beloved Sis, Claudie, where he had been residing for the past few months.

He was born on April 15, 1950, in Rumford to Edward and Theresa (Bernard) Gallant. He was a graduate of Mexico High School class of 1968 and a proud Veteran of the Vietnam War where his tour of duty serving in the US Army as a Crew Chief on Huey II Choppers, rescue missions to retrieve combat troops under fire and deliver them to safety.

Tim met and married the love of his life Susan (Sue) Faulkner on Nov. 27, 1973, and they brought a beautiful son, Jason, into their lives with much joy and happiness.

He is survived by his son Jason and wife Julie; step-grandchildren, Kiefer, Tucker, Ascher; sisters, Paulette Puiia and husband Joe and Claudette Moore, a brother James Gallant and wife Shirley. He was predeceased by his wife Sue; infant daughter Diane; and parents Edward and Theresa.

A grateful thank you and appreciation for the care and support to Northern Light Mercy Home Hospice Care Team and Chaplain Ken for his gifts of spiritual wisdom and peace which guided Tim on his spiritual journey to his eternal home.

Graveside services will be held at a later date for the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St Rumford, ME.
