FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Phyllis Corine Morris Arnold, 93, of Fayetteville, N.C., died on May 23, 2024.

Phyllis became an Army wife when she married the late Ret. MSG James D. Arnold, Jr., on April 30, 1952. Their union lasted for 69 years and produced seven children.

Phyllis is survived by a son, James D. Arnold III (Teresa), daughters Betty J. Arnold, Ava M. Arnold, Linda A. Thomas (Ross) and Phyllis A. Rand (Robert); sister, Linda M. Jones (Harris), brother, Christopher E. Morris (Rosa); grandchildren Jonathan and Jordan Arnold, Danny and Linda Rand, Alexis and Taylor Posey.

Visitation is 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations, 2720 Murchison Road, Fayetteville, NC, on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Funeral services are private.
